I use word expansion software in my job. The program I use is called SmartType and it expands words for me, so that I don't have to type the whole word every time. For example, I can type "hi" and the word "history" will appear in the document I am typing. It is very convenient, but I have gotten spoiled to it and expect it to expand words sometimes when I shouldn't. For example, I tend to expect it to expand the word "head" to "headache" but since the word "head" is a legitimate word too, of course, it doesn't change it. Therefore, I end up typing things like "The patient came into the emergency room complaining that he has had a head for 3 days."
