My 7-year-old woke up this morning, raised up his head and said "What did I get for my birthday again?" Then after a few minutes of pondering our answers, he got up and went to the bathroom. He came back and said "You know, if the house was upside down, I'd be wearing shoes, because the floor would be prickly." Sometimes I wonder about the workings of that boy's mind.
