It seems like the basics are all we are getting done lately, math, spelling and reading. We haven't been having any fun with our homeschool since the Medieval Feast. We haven't been doing much of anything from the Konos units. Maybe we need to work hard on the basics every other day? I'm just not sure how to work it all in. Anyone have any advice?
Today is my oldest son's 14th birthday. Where has the time gone? Happy birthday!

Can you incorporate the fun into the basics? Wish I had better advice... Funny... word verification spells out EEK!
Happy belated birthday to the 14 year old! *Confetti*
No great revelation from me.
Only that I am in " Whatever Works," mode. My son has ADHD, so writing is a MAJOR ordeal. So, this year, I dedcided one day of itense torture is enough for us both. All other days he gets to use the computer. It's "work'n."
Happy belated birthday!
I would try going easy on the basics every other day, not skipping them, just not doing as much on them so there's time for the other stuff.
I'm thinking of doing what you mentioned, Lynn. I have the fun stuff scheduled in the afternoon and then we get tired and just skip it. Not good.
