We're reading the Rangers Apprentice series in the evenings as read-alouds. We're on the second one. So far, they're good. Last night, we were reading about how the enemy had built a bridge and wondering what the main character was going to do next. We decided that he should burn down the enemy's bridge. At the end of the chapter, when the character decided that for himself, we cheered. We were so proud of ourselves for figuring that one out before he did! So brilliant of us. Then, this morning, I picked up the book to move it and noticed the complete title for the first time: Ranger's Apprentice, Book 2, The Burning Bridge.
We're so clever.
Hey, my would be 11th grader got into trouble...
