Homing Pigeon Field Trip.

The field trip to see the homing pigeons was beyond cool. We got to see several different types of pigeons, including a 2 day old baby pigeon, learn all about their care, how to race them, their history of helping in wars going back to the Roman Empire, and then the kids got to hold some pigeons and let them fly. Here's how my youngest summed it up for his Dad.
"We got to let pigeons go today Daddy! I held it for about 3 seconds! It was a homing pigeon so it went back to the guy's house."
